Comparison and contrast essay examples have all the features of a traditional essay.
So there will be an introduction, body and conclusion. In the introduction you are going to state what the essay is about. What subjects will be compared. And why they are going to be compared. You are going to need at least two subjects to compare, so mention the subjects (Say subject A and subject B) first. You may prefer one over another. Then you must mention in the introduction which subject you are going to prefer. After that you have to compare the subjects over some aspects or points (Say point 1, point 2, point3 etc). Mention these points briefly in your introduction.
Let’s give an example.
You have two subjects, Player A and Player B. You are going to compare their strength and weakness, stamina, skill etc. These are points and they should be mentioned in your introduction. When writing the main body, you can choose one from two different types of way. The first way of the two is to make a block of points for each subject. When following this method, first write all the points about subject one. Then write all the point about subject two. Writing this second block is tricky. When describing a feature of subject B, state its subject A counterpart. Or you may create a link between these two buy stating how they relate. Make an elaborate discussion while making the comparison for each point at block two. Follow this method if the number of points is small.
The second way is stating each point one by one and making comparison between the subjects according to each point.
For example, first discuss the strengths of player A and player B as point 1. Then at point 2, compare the weaknesses of player A and player B, and so on. The main body must solidify the statements stated in the introduction. If you stated that player A is a better player than player B in your introduction, the body of the essay must agree with this.
However, in comparison and contrast essay examples, the differences between the subjects are focused as well as their similarities. The finishing is about the outcome provided by all the talk. You are going to state what idea have you established by your essay. And remember, in comparison and contrast essay examples the finishing statement must agree with the introductory affirmations and arguments in the body of the essay.
